Aidan
Aidan is a dedicated remedial massage therapist passionate about health, fitness, and empowering others on their wellness journey. With a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy and specialised training in functional cupping, Aidan offers personalised massage services tailored to each client’s needs. He embarked on his massage therapy career fuelled by his personal involvement in sports, weight training, and overcoming injuries. Through these experiences, Aidan firsthand discovered the profound benefits of massage. Now, he is committed to helping others achieve their health goals by alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and promoting overall well-being.
Carly
Carly has been working at Triggerpoint for over 10 years, she began her time on the team as a receptionist. During this time, Carly has seen the value of massage and this led her to add to her qualifications by undertaking her Remedial massage training. As a Naturopath, Carly is led by the principle of “do no harm” and approaches her massages with this philosophy. She sees the benefit in working with the muscles rather than overpowering them. This approach not only benefits the body but also the nervous system offering the added benefit of mental relaxation. Carly aims to nurture your body and mind during her massages.
Suzy
Suzy’s passion for massage began when she would massage her brother after his weekend game of Rugby Union. Suzy first gained her diploma in the early 80’s and udated it in the mid 90’s at SIBT. Suzy has a strong passion for knowledge and has continued to study through out her career, gaining qualifications in many varied modalities and is currently studying health science acupuncture degree. Suzy is also a personal trainer and has been fortunate to work with many Australia and overseas elite athletes. Some of Suzy’s hobbies include; Animals, powerlifing, motorsports, anything heavy metal, opera, 3d painting. Suzy is excited to join the team and looks forward to using her skills and knowledge to improve your health.
Adam
Adam has had massages all of his life and knows the importance of a good massage. After years of experiencing the benefits of massage first hand, Adam knew that this was the path for him. The ability to help people and alleviate pain has always been at the forefront of Adam’s passion. He obtained his Diploma of Remedial Massage from Tighes Hill TAFE and pursued his career with the Newcastle Jets Women’s team. Adam is excited to bring his experience and knowledge to the clients of Triggerpoint.
Brad
Brad transitioned from a Fitness Instructor to a Remedial Massage Therapist when he obtained his Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage Therapy from The School Of Integrated Body Therapy in 1999. He came to his 20 plus year career after a water skiing weekend with friends. One friend suggested that his fireside shoulder and neck massage was better than their actual massage therapist and he should consider changing career. Brad joined Triggerpoint in July 2012 and plans to be here for many years to come because he loves the team he works with. Brad has worked with many professional sporting teams in his career. This great resource of body mechanics means he has been able to help many people, from all walks of life and ages, whether they are involved in sport or not, in their day to day life. He can assist in recovery from injury, help you find balance, relief from pain and help you ease stress related to work and anxiety. He enjoys doing research and continued study to expand on his extensive knowledge. This helps his clients to increase their range of movement and feel better in their body. Brad is also able to provide exercises that will benefit his clients strength and flexibility where needed and help them achieve and reach their goals and individual needs.
James
James has always had an interest in anatomy and stretching. He received an opportunity to obtain his Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy here in Newcastle and jumped at the chance. He found it opened his eyes to how unbelievably interesting the body is. His Italian heritage means he can’t contain his desire to share this passion with people. He derives great joy and satisfaction from being able to help people feel good and keep moving. He has a whole body approach to his work with specific areas targeted that seem stuck, sore or uncomfortable. James finds successful outcomes are achieved with good communication, keen observation and working by what he can feel. This creates an individualised treatment for the client, using a range of techniques, and constantly increases his already expansive knowledge base.
Michael
Michael had a life changing accident several years ago, it was during his recovery and rehabilitation that Michael realised his passion for anatomy and was driven to help others recover and reach their optimal functionality. Michael left his laboratory career and completed studies in Diploma Remedial Massage, Ligamentous Articular Strain (LAST) and Myofascial dry needling. Michael has been able to combine his strong analytical skills from his laboratory work with his studies and personal experience to develop tailored treatments for his clients that both assist in treating existing injuries whilst also preventing injuries reoccurring. It is this approach that has seen Michael’s loyal client base grow to include Elite level athletes from MMA, Australian Ironman, professional surfing and soccer.
Jamie
Jamie started her career in fitness, obtaining qualifications in this area, but soon realised that remedial massage therapy was her calling. She obtained her diploma in 2018 from Tighes Hill Tafe and joined Triggerpoint in 2019. Jamie has experience working with the Newcastle knights and other sporting teams. She approaches her treatment holistically and also scientifically. Jamie’s goal is to help her clients feel their best self, whether it is to reduce everyday stress or to help with a more specific injury/pain.
Rayley
Rayley joined the Triggerpoint team in 2020 after relocating to Newcastle. She obtained her Diploma in 1998 at The School Of Natural Therapies in Coffs Harbour. Until her move to Newcastle Rayley had her own Remedial Massage Therapy practice on the Gold Coast. With her combination of deep tissue and relaxation Rayley is able to offer an individualised treatment based on her clients needs. Helping people find relief and increasing their mobility is a passion she has had for many years. With a focus to improve people’s posture and help them obtain freedom of movement Rayley specialises in reducing headaches, sciatic pain and plantar fasciitis. She also enjoys doing pregnancy massages.
Naomi
Naomi gained her qualifications in *Remedial massage* through Q Academy on the Sunshine Coast. She brings to Triggerpoint prior learning and knowledge in the areas of physiotherapy, exercise science and dance and is a qualified pilates instructor. Naomi offers a calm and relaxed environment, creating space that encourages stress reduction and the release of muscle tension. A stressed or anxious mind can translate to a stressed, tense body, massage may be able to facilitate the release of stress in both body and mind. Naomi is passionate about this concept. Naomi has a particular interest in helping people who are suffering from pain and tension in the neck, back and shoulders. She will work with you to create a treatment and plan to have you feeling better and staying that way!
